The Phylum Cnidaria is broken down into three different classes: Hydrozoa, Scyphozoa, and Anthozoa. It is an extremely diverse phylum, consisting of over 10,000 marine organisms including hydroids, jellyfish, and sea anemones. Cnidarians are characterized by their cnidocytes which are the stinging cells found in members of this phylum. They express radial symmetry.
